On cold and rainy days like these, I enjoy snuggle myself in a big warm cozy blanket, sip on a hot cup of tea and getting inspired from reading all sorts of interior design, crafting, cooking and baking books… Here are my autumn favourites:

Kirstie’s Vintage Home by TV presenter Kirstie Allsop with lot’s of wonderful inspirations how to create a beloved vintage style for your own home.It furthermore includes 30 simple handmade projects, e.g. for a vintage pinboard, hand-moulded plates or how to create your own willow placemats (perfect for the autumn and winter season!). If you haven’t fallen in love with Kirstie on one of her TV shows already by reading her book you will. Thanks, for this inspirational design and crafting book.

The Vintage Tea Party book is a complete guide to hosting your perfect tea party with truly fabtastic pictures, adorable little drawings, tutorials for making vintage aprons or getting the perfect 50s styled hair and Make Up, plus lot’s of delicious recipes for a perfect soiree. It also comprises some freebie pattern for invitations and thank you cards, or for crafting your own old English bunting. Author’s Angel Andree unique personal style is absolutely reflected in this book. If you adore everything related to 50s, pin ups or rockabily and can’t get enough of the Alice in Wonderland creatures, you will simply love this book!

Things I love is written by interior stylist Megan Morton who captures stunning real life living spaces from around the world in pictures and gives us readers practical tips on how to get a stylish look for your own home easily. The book comes with some lovely designed postcards, which are actually too beautiful to use, so I keep them and just have a little sneak now an then. A truly fun and inspiring book that makes you look different on everyday items in your house.

    • I excactly now this feeling. I once stood in front of a mega large design book with a neon pink cover and adorable black and white vintage wedding pictures inside. I still regret being reasonable at that time for not buying it!! At least you know the titel of your book, so you could get it at any time. 🙂
